On the second week before Christmas, my true love gave to me a chauffeured trip to pick up last minute holiday items. I’m talking front door service to each store while others hunted for a parking spot closer than fifty yards away then waded through a torrential downpour. Equipped only with my wallet and cellphone, I paid for my purchases and texted my driver to pick me up the second I exited each store. Was he dressed as Santa Claus and driving a vintage fire truck like in this picture? Nope, but we made a world of stops in record time just like Old Saint Nick on Christmas Eve. In keeping with tradition, I rewarded him with a batch of chocolate chip cookies and glass of milk as a holly jolly thank you gift.
What Christmas traditions do you enjoy?
