I’m making an effort to eat healthier these days, although I’d have more success if chocolate was declared a fruit. Eating more greens and plant-based protein is no problem, as I’m a big fan of salads, nuts, and beans. But the human digestive system has been known to revolt over too much fiber, so be careful with portion size. Thankfully, some foods fit into more than one category. For example, I consider a scoop of dark chocolate raspberry truffle ice cream equivalent to one serving of dairy and one serving of fruit. The only way whole raspberries taste better is to dip them in dark chocolate. Wait a minute, chocolate is made from the fruit of cacao trees, which means it really is a fruit. Wow, I’ve been eating super-healthy all my life and never realized it until now.
