My favorite part-time job in college was working at a local department store during the Christmas season. No online shopping in those days. Everyone went to the stores, and I enjoyed helping folks find just the right gifts for their loved ones. A few years later—well, more than a few years—I’m perfectly satisfied to let my fingers do the walking across my keyboard. The festive side of me misses the extravagant store decorations and long lines of anxious children waiting to visit Santa, but I also admit to liking home delivery.
