About this time every few years I tackle the dirtiest job on my list of chores—mulching my flowerbeds. If you combine mulch and hard work, happy plants and dirty clothes are the end results. I’m talking filthy from hat to boots, as in almost too grubby to enter the house. Almost. But I’d rather work outside than inside any day, so I endure the mess for the beauty of flowers. What household chore earns the least favorite rating on your to-do list?
