Fall festivals provide a great way to enjoy the season and be outdoors. If you’re near the Smoky Mountains next weekend, two family-friendly events promise fun and entertainment for folks of all ages.
Wears Valley Fall Fest (October 15-17) offers crafts, live music, food, and free kid activities like pumpkin painting. Find it next to the Tennessee State Bank on Wears Valley Road between Pigeon Forge and Townsend, Tennessee.
Apple Harvest Festival (October 16) takes over downtown Waynesville, North Carolina with live music and 200 vendor booths of arts, crafts, food, and best of all—delicious locally-grown apples, plus apple goodies galore. Eat a slice of apple pie and wash it down with fresh apple cider while tapping your foot to mountain music and cloggers.
What’s your favorite way to eat apples—pie, cake, fried, baked, candied, caramel, fritters, fresh, or other?
